It’s simple. We want to change the way people think about Christmas trees. By encouraging a renting phenomenon and saving them from landfill, we aim to help to reduce the environmental impact of the festive period.
The carbon footprint of the holiday season is huge. We all know that. Between 7 and 8 million Christmas trees are discarded, many left at local parks and recreation grounds to be collected by the council or taken to the local tip. Left to rot in landfill, these trees can emit up to 100,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases each year.
Recycling Christmas trees into wood chippings and mulch is a good place to start in changing the way we dispose of them, but wouldn’t it be better to replant them for another year? And that’s exactly what we’re doing here.
Head over to our shop and choose a rented tree that suits you. All our trees are Norway Spruce – they’re better suited to being grown in a pot – and they come in a variety of sizes. We deliver 20 miles East and West of our Portslade hub or you can book for collection free of charge. We are only a small company, so collection slots are limited at this stage. If you want to know more about renting a Christmas tree, pop over to our FAQs page. If you are after something slightly smaller in stature, then we also have a variety of mini Christmas trees, which are perfect for sending in the post. Each come with eco-friendly decorations and seeded baubles. Take a look at our collaborations if you want some additional festive inspiration.
